White Chocolate and Pear Strudel with Raspberry Sauce

Dear Food Lover,

Happy Autumn everyone! Today is the first day of fall, after a summer that simply flew by. The leaves are turning color, we’ve had a hint of rain, with more on the way, and the smell in the air is fresh and clean. Crisp apples and pears are ripening, as the tomatoes finish off for the year, and Bolliver’s is getting ready to bring back our seasonal goodies. It’s hard to believe that it’s already that time again.

We’re winding down on our cream pies, with only The Lime, Chocolate and Tropicals being offered. The Tropicals will disappear in November, and our decadent Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie will be available next week, and the Fresh Roasted Pumpkin Pies the week following. Both will be available by the whole pie and as slices.

This week we are bringing back our White Chocolate and Pear Strudel with Fresh Raspberry Chambord Sauce. It was a hit last year, and people have been asking about it again – probably because it’s pleasing to the eye, and tastes even better than it looks. For those of you who don’t care for white chocolate, please don’t let the name (or ingredient) deter you. The white chocolate adds richness and depth of character, by allowing all the other flavors to come through.

We’re happy to announce that the Fort Bragg Farmers Market will, starting this year, begin to run all year round! We will still be returning to the Ukiah Market in November, as planned.

In Addition to our full online menu, we are offering:

Jambalaya & Creole Sauce – This classic southern dish is absolutely delicious! Ours is made with spicy Louisiana sausage, prawns, chicken and rice, in a zesty tomato, pork and pepper sauce. The creole sauce that is served separately, is made with peppers, tomato and ham. What a combo – what flavor! What a bargain!!

  • Regularly:  $25.00
  • Now Only:  $18.00

Beef Au Vin – If it’s going to be storming, what’s better than some nice stew to go along with it?! Our version is made with choice cuts of beef that are slow simmered with red wine, onion, tomato, celery and a touch of Juniper.

  • 18oz. – $16.00

Pear & White Chocolate Strudel – Flaky phyllo pastry filled with slices of tender ripe pears, dried tart cherries, white chocolate, a touch of brown sugar and cinnamon, along with almond cookie crubms and more white chocolate baked between the layers of pastry. Wonderful when sered lightly warmed, along with our sweet and tart raspberry sauce (in a separate container on the side).

  • $6.00

Hope you enjoy the menu,
