Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie

The smell of Pecan Pie baking is intoxicating, and is available once again, starting this Wednesday – by the slice and 8″ pie! We made a big batch of Baklava last week, unannounced, and it was a big hit. We’ll try for making more this week, and you can be assured that it will frequently be featured on our menu.

Last week it rained quite a bit, yet many still came out to enjoy the Fort Bragg Farmers Market. Due to the weather, we did miss the Willits Market on Thursday, but we will happily be back this week. Beginning in November, we will be returning to Ukiah on Saturdays, and as a reminder, Fort Bragg will now be continuing throughout the year.

We were temporarily out of two of our most popular savories, the Sweet and Spicy BBQ Chicken and the Chicken Tamale Bake. Both will be returning this week.

We are planning an Open House for the November First Friday at Chubby’s Kitchen, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. We hope you will join us, to see where all of our delicious goodies are prepared, and to enjoy some samples of our savories, sweets and chocolates. More information in coming weeks.

In Addition to our full online menu, we are offering:

Ling Cod Quesadilla Especial – We really didn’t know quite what to call these, so we settled on quesadilla. But they’re much more than just a quesadilla, hence the “Especial”. Two flour tortillas, filled with our zesty chipotle salsa, vegetable and tomato rice, lime and jalapeno black beans, roasted ling cod and shredded cheese. Makes a nice appetizer or entree. $10.00

Jambalaya and Creole Sauce – This classic southern dish is absolutely delicious! Ours is made with spicy Louisiana sausage, prawns, chicken and rice, in a zesty tomato, pork and pepper sauce. The creole sauce that is served separately, is made with peppers, tomato and ham. What a combo – what flavor! What a bargain!!   Regularly $25.00Now only $18.00

Beef Au Vin -Nothing says “Fall” better than some nice hearty stew! Our version is made with boneless short ribs that are slow simmered with red wine, onion, tomato, celery and a touch of Juniper. We recommend serving along with baked potatoes and steamed carrots. 18 oz $16.00

Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie Deliciously rich and wonderful, this twisted classic is a bit less sweet than your typical pecan pie. Flaky pastry crust filled with a layer of dark chocolate in the bottom of the pastry, with a top layer of bourbon pecan filling, and decorated with pastry leaves. Decadent when served lightly warm with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream! 8″ $18.00 or Slice $5.00

I hope you enjoy the menu!
